well i got a new 19" widescreen monitor for xmas :D
but when i play wow its sooo laggy now :/ to the extent i dont bother going on :(

could it be because my screen is larger or anything?

Could be the resolution. The memory that comes on a graphics card is an indicator of how high you could set your resolution. If you have a crappy old one. set it to 1024x768 or if you still have low FPS set it to 800x600 which is in all honesty terrible, if you go down to 800x600 then google clearfont and read how to install it for WoW (simple really) and you will be able to read the blurry font.

Didn't say that. Memory on a gfx card is a gimmick - it is used for higher resolutions and generally the less memory on the card the lower the resolution it can handle, also affected by the memory speed.

You could always use the windowed mode option and decrease the size of your screen yourself untill you don't get any lag anymore. :)

its eased out now, got it on max size etc, getting around 10fps which is playable :P (for me anyway)

In settings, check you have everything enabled if it says enabling this may improve performance, and disable everything that says disabling this may improve performance. Then go put everything to low.
