How Do I Enable My Backlit KeyBoard?

i got a macbook today (aluminium), and i know it's supposed to have a backlit keyboard, but it isn't working. i'm assuming i need to enable it somewhere, but i don't know how.

i have googled it but never found a good answer, any help please? :)

it's supposed to, but it isn't.
i've even tried turning the screen off, it's not doing it. :(

You sure you got the one with the backlit? :P As its on by default but you can turn it on and off by going to: System Preferences > Keyboard.
