The April 8, 2008 issue of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun paper reports that Takara Tomy is reviving the Beyblade franchise after a four-year hiatus in August with a new toy line and manga series, and will sponsor a new accompanying Beyblade anime starting April 2009. The name of the new series has been confirmed to be Metal Fight Beyblade. It will feature an entire new cast of characters and will be authored by Adachi Takafumi.
I have to rewatch beyblade.

I admit I did buy one irl too. There was one you could get that you could take apart (this wasn't part of it, just someone tried it and it worked) and it was essentially just a thin gyroscope but it span for like 5 minutes. So even if you couldn't beat the other guy's (they didn't collide because of the small size of the custom one) his would just stop spinning before yours and you'd win. Harsh times.

i bought like 5 from the £1 shop and a good one £15 from Argos and mixed them all together and mine was so epic, I mean it pwned everyone.

What was the name of the guy who battled 'dragoon' in a big sandstone colloseum? His beyblade thing was an orange dragon with 2 heads. He was cool :)
