Last season I think Berbatov got around 30 or more assists.
That's why I thought he was a good buy (although for a huge amount of money). He scored quite a lot and assisted a ton.

he's younger and fergie knew it would improve united. money isn't necessary an object if it brings in more silverware, fergie knows what he's doing berba links up play and has an amazing first touch. much better player than keane, out of his league in fact.

Before Berbatov arrived at WHL, Keane really was average. For example in 05/06 he was being overlooked by Defoe & Mido.

Plus the fact he's never really been prolific, and can you really justify £20m for Keane?

That's a good point. In recent weeks, United fans have started to question him though and many prefer Tevez. He still contributes to the team in assists and performances, but the reason he was bought, goals, haven't come as easily have he would have liked.

Berbatov made Keane look good anyway. Admittedly Berba doesn't score that much, I think that was only his 3rd league goal in 15 league appearances. He doesn't try hard but he's the sort of player that will grab a goal or set one up. Those 3 points last night could be priceless.

He has been criticised, quite heavily. The difference is, I think is that Benetiz didn't give Keane enough time and he rotates his squad too much whereas Fergie doesn't as much. Berba was injured for a couple of games which is why he didn't play all the games. Even when Keane got his brace the other day he was dropped down to the bench the next game. People see that Benetiz is dropping him and take things out of proportion.
