Happy new year!

Ouch, that sucks. Lucky about the GM being able to restore everything...

Rofl, if it was one of my chars I think the hacker would do a U-turn... none of my chars are worth anything :P

You have a few high level chars right? At least 1 80?

Since these hackers usually work for the wow account selling sites they could probsbly fetch $250+ for your account. Not too sure of the prices since I don't really look into these things but I have been on them before:P

Didn't visit a dodgy site, follow a link?

Go to any website ending in .cn?

Axel

Hmm seems it happened again, which means Norton is ****.

Now running every possible bloody anti virus/malware/whatever on the planet and checking every dodgy .exe on my PC. I've asked for my stuff to be restored AGAIN and my account to be locked for a bit whilst this is all sorted out.

You realise .cn is for china? You can't class any .cn site as some sort of keylogging site

unlucky

Download Spyware Doctor from PCTools, usually finds anything thats wrong.

Well yes, in most cases. But this is WoW and almost all of the keylogger links posted on the european (and US, for that matter) forums will end in .cn as the gold farmers want yer goldssss.

I haven't been on any .cn sites, the only thing I've downloaded recently is Bartender 4.

Don't post what you don't know about?

The vast majority of sites that are used to target gamers (or it is like this for WoW gamers at least) are .cn sites... and yes I know that .cn = china. Lots of account sellers/gold farmers are based in china, does that make it clearer? Perhaps half of the accounts they sell are hacked? Hmm?

You need to learn how to read, oh dear dear. He's probably a little bitter because people found out about his sickening plots with innocent girls.

I actually said that the vast majority of websites that are used to hack gamers are .cn websites, not the vast majority of .cn sites are used to target and hack gamers. 2 Totally different things imo. Dear dear.

Theres plenty of .co.uk / .net / .com sites, if i wanted to set up a site to keylog someone i wouldn't instantly think.

Hmm keylogging MUST BE A .CN DOMAIN.
