View Full Version : Does AnyDVD HD modify the actual disc?

In my other thread I asked why the rental BD were'nt working and DaveTaylor said:
download AnyDVD HD it removes the HDCP on the The Dark Knight DVD it should then work proper. But does it actually change the DVD or just the programme its on, because its Blockbuster's disc and my liability.

I already told you, it removes the HDCP protection by emulating the DVD but without physically showing it. It's all background processing, your sadly the first person to ever doubt me :O

Not doubt, just worry. So is it illegal/can Blockbuster track it?

No it's not traceable, it does nothing to the DVD itself the only damage you could do is if you DVD drive ate it. simple as.

Sorry but my knoledge of computers is very poor, but does 'eating it' mean it wont open?

You will still have HDCP encryption so no.
