I've never really been that arsed over virus protection, as I had 2 computers.. 1 for music etc and 1 for normal stuff.

I've now merged the two so now I have everythign on one computer. This has caused problems as it now says I have a trojan horse and it's been quarantined. I got McAfee from download.com but not sure how long it lasts.

What virus protection can I get (willing to pay) that will cover me and allow me to do things including buying online without the worry of having my card cloned or whatever?

Also, what exactly does it mean when the trojan horse has been quarantined, can't I permanently delete it?

Anti-virus is important, it stops you from getting viruses because it's ANTI virus! :)

if I were you, i'd pay for security (as you said you were willing too).

different people judge different things so do some research on the subject. myself, like many other people use norton, and its worked like a charm.

but honestly, its up to you, im sure kevin can fix you up with some codes for ESET NOD32 if you want that

Pay for security? lol? I don't use any virus protection and I don't have a virus. I would NEVER pay for a scanner. At the end of the day if you are sensible online you don't really need a virus scanner.
