The Chatbox at the top=D

Will be good and have loads of people typing in it because it's always there, open and easy to type into and it will be a good, quick way of communication between the members and I think it would work really well on HabboxForum

I think Shout/Chat Boxes can work really well on forums. However, with a forum as big as HabboxForum I don't necessary think one is needed. I have no idea if it would affect the forum because that's far too technically for someone as simple as myself. I just don't think one is needed, if anything it stops people from posting because they just talk in there. It wouldn't be beneficial to Habbox therefore I don't think one should be added.

I think it would be a good idea to have chat at the top, as i hardly go to the bvottom of the forum to see if it was there.

And it wouldnt cause any mopre lagg than it might at the bottom? :P

I don't think he means the current chat system but a new shout box to be introduced shown at the top of the forum. If I'm right then it wouldn't cause any lag ~ it just isn't beneficial to a forum like Habbox.

He means a completly different chat, after they paid how ever much it was i am sure they wont be getting rid of it any time soon.

As has been said many times before in many previous threads, it's too much of a strain on the servers resources for such a large forum.

One thing though. Remove the chat rooms, they are of no use what so ever, I have never seen a single person using them. Maybe due to all the fuss. A chatbox is always popular as it's very easy to use, and not such a hassle. However, if creating this you will nee to inroduce a couple of mods or make some mods moderate the chat box as well. But yeh you really need to remove those chatrooms in my opinion.

I think spam forum is more of the chat for the forum. I dont think it is doing any harm at the bottom, would mean more scrolling from top to bottom and it dont look very Habbo/xey

Chatboxs will just get spammed. They will be no use to the majority of people as too many will be typing uselss rubbish into it. It would be extreamly hard to moderate aswell, and has been said to slow down the forum.

You can limit the nubmer of posts a second etc.

They are both pretty much the same.
Noone uses the current chat and you have to enter it before you can type. With the chat at the top, you can simply just type in there, and it wouldn't be really spammed, it would just be quick and simple chats between members, as other people would use the forums aswell. It could cause less legs because posts may decrease slightly, but not no way in a significant way.

Everyone is assuming it will be a bad idea, but I think if it's trialed, we could then base our judgements and opinions on that and then decided whether or not to keep it using a public poll.

I agree with you here.
It would cause too much lag to the forum and after a while people wouldn't bother with it, HabboxChat was used often when it was first created but after a week or so it was more or less forgotten.

In summary: ew. This has been suggested times over and it's been rejected every single time. It will lag, it will be a fountain of rule breaking and it defeats the object of a forum in my opinion.

No thanks, I don't like this idea... I see this on other forums and I really dislike it :(
It makes the forum lag especially on a forum on this scale everyone will be on there, take the spam section for example I don't think you can go 5 mins without a new thread, they'll turn into the "Chatbox Crew" :P
