Well whenever i try to buy vip it says :

Habbox Forum does not have any paid subscriptions available to which you can subscribe.

when it usually says all the prices and colours and such. Am i the only one getting this message or is it an error or something? Cheers :P

That will be useful to you.

Habbox have had to discontinue VIP due to the Habbo Fansite Way. They are still currently setting up the new system and fixing bugs. I am sure that when this is done they will sort something out to show all our subscriptions but from now on you cannot buy VIP, all ways to get it are explained in the link above.

Habbox should set up a blackmarket *whistles* Sell it through that and claim that Habbox have nothing to do with it and see if Habbo are dumb enough to not realise it has to be something to do with Habbox :P

Wouldn't work, it was other fansite owners what ratted us out in the first place and got us that C+D letter in November :P Someone would rat us out.

Ah but you missed out the key part of the black market! Whoever rats you out will be sleeping with the fishes come dinner time :D

Did Habbo ever post a reason to why they set up this rule? I've been pretty much dead the whole month and never really heard of a good answer.

Probably because they wanted the money spent on credits not VIP, although I don't think they've ever given an official reason

But that reason has no valid grounds to sit on. A business like Habbo/Sulake won't have that as a reason, unless they are that bad of a company to hire apes to sit behind computers making brain dead decisions all day :P

They won't gain anymore money from banning VIP, infact, it could be argued they'll lose some for spiteful behaviour towards their fans...

Are you offering to head an underground Habbox Hit Squad? :eusa_whis If so consider yourself hired.

Nopeee. I asked multiple times and never got a real response.

Of course its not, and yes we've tried to pitch that to them but unfortunately they really don't care what we say.

Its really annoying because VIP is optional, they should be encouraging people to support fansites which we all know are costly to run, not dis-allowing people the right to buy it at their own free will.

I would of fought for a reason. I wouldn't change a thing unless a suitable reason came to mind, and we know and they know that they don't have a logical explanation anyway :P

Sell VIP again, email Sulake and say that you'll remove it when you receive a decent explanation.

You'll be able to keep VIP selling for life then, because they'll never give a decent reply. :D

Can't you just ignore them and sell vip until they threaten to shut down the site. And if you move the site's hosting to a country where Habbo wasn't copyrighted would they be able to do anything about it?

They'll still need to give them a reason :P

:P From all my experiences with data centers and other various companies that sell dedicated servers and rack space unless you are a BIG customer the data center wont think twice about removing you for something like a breach of copright if it means saving themselves and loosing one customer when they are contacted by a company the size of Habbo. If we refuse to follow parts of the fansite way Habbo have the right to revoke our usage of their images hence causing Habbox to be breaking copyright law. It's an annoying loop hole which means we have no choice but to follow their instructions.

I honestly can't see them sticking up for a site that only purchases a few dedicated servers - hardly anything in comparison to what these data centers make from much bigger organizations and companies. Habbo have gone to enough bother to make us remove the VIP and stuck to their guns so they are not going to let an obvious selling of VIP on a "black market" slip under their noses and even if they did as nvrspk4 says there will be someone from another fansite or whatever who will report the breach and again this can only lead to serious problems and could result in no Habbox at all ultimately. :(

I was only joking my love :P Although they would need a reason, they only need to flash the copyright card at the host and they can get a site closed down just through that. A pity, especially when Habbo are putting so much effort into something so petty that it's a waste of their time and resources - Which is why they suck as a company. It would of been decent of them to give a reason answer to why they have stopped fansites allowing VIP, because there are no visible, logical reasons to this sudden rule.
