iTunes Store Problem

So for christmas I got an ipod touch and I got $75 to the iTunes store with it. But I got down to about $16 and now it says that theyre going to charge the apps to my debit card instead of the gift cards. How can I change this back to the gift cards? I didnt change it in the first place so idk how this happened.

When I tried to download apps with my iTunes gift card it said it would charge my debit card, but it didn't, it came out of my iTunes gift allowance. Test it out with a 99cents app or something :)

edit: just tried it with pocket guitar and it worked, thanks a lot. just to be sure, it wont charge to debit AND gift card right?
