Well the Macworld expo will begin tomorrow and Apple's keynote will be on the Tuesday, can't wait! Hopefully they will announce new iMacs and new Mac Minis, but I'm almost certain they will. Really gutted that this will be the last time Apple turn up, but I've got a feeling they'll change their mind... eventually... I hope.
Quote from Wikipedia about Macworld 2009:
The San Francisco show is scheduled to take place January 5-9, 2009[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macworld_Conference_%26_Expo#cite_note-2008PR-10). On December 16, 2008, Apple announced that the 2009 conference will be the last in which the company participates.[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macworld_Conference_%26_Expo#cite_note-2009DW-3) The conference's keynote address will be delivered by Apple's Senior Vice President of Product Marketing Philip Schiller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Schiller), not Steve Jobs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Jobs), as has been the custom for the past ten years.[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macworld_Conference_%26_Expo#cite_note-11) Speculation has arisen as to whether Steve Jobs' health is the primary reason for his withdrawal from his usual Keynote address. Steve Jobs underwent pancreatic cancer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pancreatic_cancer) surgery on August 2, 2004, but reports indicate that Jobs has been completely cancer free since July 2008.

They want to move away from Trade Shows, so they will not change their mind. They will still host their own Apple events (eg - like the notebook/ipod events).
My predictions :-
Preview of Snow Leopard, rough pricing (Although it should be VERY cheap due to lack of end user features.)
iMacs and Mac Minis
iPhone Nano OR iPhone/iPod Touch firmware updates.
One More Thing :-
A totally new, revolutionary item we have not seen before.
One Last Thing :-
STEVE JOBS BECOMES CO-VP OF USA.
jokes.
But my predictions will be way off, they are more of what I want to see.
Nick.

agreed. pricing will be the same because they have worked hard with snow leopard and I know even at £79 I'll but it so I think it will stay £79. I hope there is something new and revolutionary but I wouldn't have any high hopes. I reckon we will see a unibody new and improved 17" MacBook Pro too.

Im not overly fussed at what they announce, I just hope that they do release new Mac Mini's so we can get more people across to OSX on a lower budget (but with nice specs/good looking systems).

If they do release new Mac Mini's then I will most likely get one (if they are appealing enough and the pricing is reasonable).

If the mac minis are cheap enough then I will defo get one as my first mac to see what it's like. (I have £2000 planned to be spent on a computer so I should have some excess for a mac mini)

I'm looking forward to it as always :) Will be watching it! I am planning to buy an iPod Touch in the next few days but I am leaving it for right now in case the price drops or something better comes.
It's almost totally certain that the Mac Mini will happen (I expect it will lose the optical drive and get a ******ed DisplayPort), probably new Mac Pros, maybe iPhone Nano (although very unlikely and probably a bit crap) and I hope there will be an update for the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Aside from the MacRumorsLive hacking (which was funny but a bit annoying), it was a crap keynote. We could see it was gonna be bad as soon as they spent 40 minutes on iLife. The Macbook stuff was a total letdown as it is out of most people's price ranges, although the battery technology did seem good. The iTunes stuff had already leaked so it was nothing new.

The "hack" as it were had nothing to do with the .passwd file, as the php files were exposed a user could quite easily walk in (without restriction) and view the common.inc.php file which had the MySQL database password in.
As the password was left in plain sight with no notices, nobody can do anything about it. Work on security next time chums.

Why ? Its looks great and the 8 hour battery life is fantastic for a 17" screen. Ok ye it costs alot and also to replace the battery costs a bit as well but what you have to remember is you do pay more for apple stuff.
