The special episode of Star Gate Atlantis ,nicknamed CSI: Atlantis, airs in the UK tonight on sky 1, right now. It is the second to last episode of SGA. The episode called vegas is meant to be 'CSI' style.
Brief story line:
In an alternate reality a wraith has arrived on earth and is being investigated by detective Sheppard who is not part of the SGA team in this reality. A wraith is building a sub space transmitter which is causing radiation and to get money the wraith is disquised as a goth. Sheppard manages to get the transmitter destroyed but not before the signal rather than making it's way to the Pegasus Galaxy, makes it's way there through a rift in space time into another reality. This signal contains the location of earth...
The next episode: Enemy at the gate....
A hive ship has aquired Zero point module and has of such become 'super charged' with it's hull strengthened it recieves a message from a rift in space arriving from the alternate reality. The hive ship leaves towards earth and two earth ships attempt to intercept it, the Orion and (new) the Sun Zsu. They are easily defeated due to the ZPM enhancment. The ZPM enhanced BC-304 the USS Oddessy is away on a secret mission and are unable to help. In a desperate attempt to defend earth, atlantis aquirres 2 more ZPMs and take off with Carson Beckett at the helm, Sheppard goes ahead to defend earth with the Ancient Chair platform. However it is destroyed by 2 Wraith darts. So Sheppard take a nuclear bomb laden F-302 onto the hive ship where he meets his team who have arrived from a stargate on the ship. Meanwhile atlantis is stuck on the outer edge of the milky way galaxy. The Hyper drive has cut out and they must get to earth. Zelenka comes up with the idea of using McKays Wormhole drive, near instantaneous transport using a wormhole. They arrive by earth and fight the hive ship. Meanwhile Sheppard and his team make their way off the ZPM enhanced hive ship and detonate a nuke onboard. Earth is saved. However atlantis has fallen into a to low of an orbit and is about to crash. They land next to the golden gate bridge under a cloak. And everything looks brilliant with a sunset. Sheppard is then Jeleous of Mckay who now has a girl freind.
And so ends the last ever season of Stargate atlantis.....
