Well, we reach the end of our noms and votes, for on Friday - we reveal the winners of everything and anything... but for the time being... let's dig in!

Each of these games has either made an impact on the gaming community, expanded a genre or has been generally awesome.

There is also a PS3, Wii and 360 exclusive title in the mix - the ones that are currently set to be GOTY for each console... or maybe different... please choose honestly... if you went over to a mate's house and played Littlebigplanet and wanted it in bed.... or not... please do vote it here - and don't let your own fanboyism or console get in the way.

As such... let's begin


Call of Duty World At War

Reason: I hope this wins both this and the Disapointment award, as it is frankly the middle ground, and shows both good and bad - but mostly good. Plus it's COD, same fish - just different scales.

Fallout 3

Reason: I... I... love it now. With a recent trophy/fix patch, us Playstationers can experience Fallout 3 as it's supposed to be... and that is a damn fine 'in yer face' action and heavily detailed apocolyptic world - can't wait till Fallout 4!

Left4Dead

Reason: It's on the PC and 360, and it was nominated for both GOTYs for both platforms, not 'cos there ain't any games for the two things - it's just probably one of the greatest zombie games... ever...

Dead Space

Reason: I thought it'd be a slimmed down FPS in a overblown crystal diamond engined Africa, turns out to be one of the funnest games of the year

Grand Theft Auto IV

Fable 2 from that list, as great as some of the others are Fable 2 was the only one that kept me interested really, LBP is a great game but just gets boring fast and some of the others I haven't played or I generally think they suck e.g. Dead Space.

Does anybody here actually read my blog? I did a series on why GTA IV sucked so bad.

I am so seriously like... ''Why everyone generic tiem?", because GTA IV just about won GOTY award on every gaming site known to man. I thought us lot were a lot more brilliant to know that GTA IV is one of the biggest disappointments of the year, and just about more of the same.

I'm not complaining or arguing, you get the right to vote for what you like. But honestly, is anyone just about tired of FPSs, GTAs and every bullet hole in the world? Vote LBP if you want innovation to win!

In other news, whichever game recieves Disappointment of the year, I will post an article arguing that it is the Game of the year... having a glance at the current statistics - I better get my pronouns reads. If for some odd reason (as in, it will probably happen) that GTA IV wins The Purple View Ultimate Game Of The Year (CONTRAAAADICTION), then I'll continue my series of ''why it's so bad''... maybe this time I'll get to you all... and not just my 23 readers obviously.
