Tbh Dreamweaver is rubbish. Not to be mean or anything but it is.
On topic: Make sure that the index file is saved in the same folder where the images are located etc. Hope that might have helped - Worth a go ;)

Usually if I replied to a reply like that to a thread like this I would get an infraction.
Yes, Dreamweaver is rubbish, you shouldn't really need to view the "web" but, I use Zend Studio for eclipse, and that's amazing, maybe you should just live view the file from the location in the browser.. Would that not save a lot of hassle?
Lol,
I have been told this many a time, but im stuck for software worthy of the job dreamweaver does, as its easy to use for me, any reccomendations?

Well there's plenty...
Notepad
Lol. NVU is a free one but I think it's just like dreamweaver. I personally say just edit things with notepad - gives you practice and experience :)

Me too, Coda is simply amazing. The CSS tabs thing is a real time saver too! :) Only good if you run a mac though.

I use dreamweaver, and nothing is wrong with it?
But anyway, Notepad does the job just as good, so try it.
I like editing it without the actual html code, its less hastle to edit it and be able to see what it looks like rather than keep checking in my browser.
Sorted the issue, dreamweavers fine for moi :D

I was reading about visual part of it, I use firebug to highlight divs etc, eg:

It's cheap, it's made by Foxconn. A lot of PC's hardware last's a lot longer, an old iMac with all sorts of protection didn't last long. 5-6 years? PC's can last a lot longer. Foxconn are cheap
To avoid being banned for posting off topic, I'll quit whilst I'm ahead.
Firebug looks pretty good. Coda seems pretty alright.

I've never had a problem with dreamweaver. It's got a code interface too so its not a problem in the slightest.
Did the template just download an index.hmtl file? or was it the entire directory with images folder etc?

I'll probably get extremely flamed for saying this.. but dreamweaver is a waste of space, you can do so much more in Zend Studio for eclipse, it helps you if you have code errors, even the tiniest, like missing out a semi colon or something, I'm pretty clumsy like that and make mistakes like that as I type at a fair fast speed, it even explains what a function does, which saves me visiting the "PHP Bible" as someone reffered to it as.

People have different reasons for what IDE they use. Dreamweaver has some good features that other IDEs don't.

Is it too hard for you to actually look at the features of Dreamweaver and then compare? That's how you find features that other IDEs dont have.

I just noticed how we all just went off topic.

Yes, you were and are being ignorant. I made a point that different IDEs have different features, a pretty obvious point in my opinion. Doesn't matter if I'm talking about AIR applications, the Dreamweaver IDE lets me create them.
You pity me? I don't value your opinion, care?

Your post is quite ironic. I don't see how I can be someone who never comes on the forum, yet I still post to annoy people?
I have no intention of deliberately annoying people. It's the ignorant people on this forum who create the arguements. I only posted in this thread saying different IDEs have different features.

Lol you're quite protective and insecure or something? I'm asking you to back up your "opinion" cause your word against facts is most likely bull. Look up if I was being ignorant, if you got an opinion and you support it you should at least back it up - go back to the rock you crawled back from.

Protective of what and insecure about what? Your point has no relevance.
My opinion? Are you referring to when I said different IDEs have different features? Because thats a fact, a fact is not an opinion. If you need me to backup my point that different IDEs have different features you must be really stupid, if my point was false then we'd have loads of IDEs that all did the same thing.

Get off the one legged stole which is shoved up your ass and answer a simple question
"What does dreamweaver have in features that other IDE's don't?"
AIR, one.
