What's happening on Live?

Where has all the in-game chat online gone? I know there's the party system, but still. I was playing COD WaW earlier, and it was silent except me and my mate, and we were playing for ages, hardly anyone was speaking. Kinda ruins playing online when no-one speaks.

I've noticed this on CoD WaW since launch. A lot less people are talking than on Cod 4. Makes it more boring imo. Less people to make fun of with my friends :P. But i dont talk if im not playing with my friends so it doesent bother me that much.

i had a lovely chat with an american dude on FIFA 08. apart from that, COD4 lobbies i find are full of loud mouthed americans who insist on "pawning" others and saying "dude thats gnarly"

Yeah, it's silent because of partys. I think XBOXlive took notice of the fighting going on between different countries, the British and the Americans for example? I like it anyway, means you can help your guy out on Search and Destroy w/e. I think it's better than having some immature baby crying down the mic atleast, view it from that perspective.

It's because with the party system people prefer to speak to their mates while they do various stuff, it's better than staying in a game chat and getting abuse hurled at you by different countries for no reason :P

I like it. Not hearing pubeless American t**ts talk about how much better they are than me because Im level 31 Prestige 9 and they're level 55 Prestige nill, or how much better there country is, or about my accent, I really like this whole silence thing. But I do miss them whinging when you kill them. Like "Aww Its Dave..." and you can tell they're getting angry.

When I've been playing cod4 recently I've still heard quite alot of people talking, and on gow they're seems to be alot of talking.
