Hey,
This is kinda of news..
A new scam has started. It has come over from America and it mainly affects people who drive a car.
Basically:
1) Someone will pretend to be a businessman/woman and try and get you to take a card.
2) The card has a type of drug on it which makes you feel ill and drousy.
3) The businessman/woman will follow where you go.
4) When you are knocked out they will mug you.
Basically don't take cards off anyone that looks supicious or you don't know. Really, don't.
The scam can affect anyone, but one of the first cases happened in Southend, where:
1) A woman was fillnig her car up with petrol.
2) Two people pull up beside her.
3) One of the people fills the car up with petrol.
4) The other person starts talking to the woman.
5) He talks about his 'business'
6) He offered the victim the card.
7) The woman takes it.
8) The drug goes in through her skin.
9) They follow you ocne you leave the petrol station.
10) You faint
11) They do what they want to you.
Just thought i should mention it :)
so you faint behind the wheel...?

If you put the liquid on one end, then you hold the other you wont. You might be wearing a black jacket and gloves (Like the brown leather things)
Many ways to do it ;)

Its an urban legend started from a chain e-mail ;l :
Subject: Be Alert & Cautious / Must read!!
A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female who was putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of kindness and got in the car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station.
She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath.
Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her.
This drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them like REPEATED GANG RAPE. This drug is four times more dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards.
So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services .
PLEASE SEND THIS E-MAIL ALERT TO EVERY FEMALE YOU KNOWResearch "Burundanga"
If u CBA it must be inhaled or eaten, and it has no smell or taste.

How dangerous. The lengths some will go to is ridiculous.
Well yeh it is?
They are impersonating businessman, and in the case of theft, they have scammed you.
A scam would be tricking someone into doing something they don't mean to do, giving someone a card that somehow drugs you then stealing your stuff while you're unconcious is theft more than anything, it's not a scam because they haven't said "sign your credit card details to this and you'll get a "free" lifetime subscription for donut trust" or something.

I dont think this is true somehow,
You expect me to never to touch a business card, as it might drug me?
Doesn't make much sence, why not just break into their house when they go out, instead of spending quite a lot of money putting a drug into a card..
But, maybe I'm wrong and it is true, but as someone else has said, probably just a thing to scare people in a chain letter.
:D

I stand by my death eater thing, unless you're in a deserted city, this shouldn't be much of a problem... You have more chances of fainting in busy areas, than a back alley. If you head back to a car, you're likely to follow popular, busy routes as you would walking around towns. Detours don't tend to happen when walking, only in cars. This will have to be a rural village or very late at night prank...
Southend is under the bulge of the British Isles :P It's sort of on the mouth of thames... Sort of...
