So, how and why does my Windows not play music?

This is what I need, where is it?
edit: I instaleld a random MP3 fix from microsoft, and it ain't working.
- My sound is working, but my MP3's arn't

Have you tried another player? like VLC?
Yeah VLC is usually good for me and this benifited me to http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/20d.html

I've installed iTunes, and that has not worked.
Installed Realtek drivers?

He's got sound, can't you read a thread?
It sounds like Windows 7 garbled his MP3's like microsoft warned.

Haha, shouldn't have opened MP3's while the Mp3 bug was around..
