New version of Live Messenger 9 has now been released.

Well Live Messenger 9 is very smooth at running. Need to get used to new layouts.

I really hate having the display picture / web cam window on the left

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was the Release Candidate 2 weeks ago and this is now the full-release?

The Messenger Plus Live (MSN+) update was due today/tomorrow but this could now delay it if this is a full-release.

I've had this one for about 1 month or more, I was on the beta before and there was a message asking if I wanted to update. Microsoft are only publicising it now though.

I think I download it at a later stage, Im currently still using the 8.5 build from 2008. I would also wait for messenger plus to work with it haha :P

this release has been out for a little while? over a week or so?

I updated all my live products a week ago with the web download; and downloaded this 'new' one; it's telling me nothing requires updating - old news. Ask Professor-Alex; I showed him screenshots just after christmas infact.

What is everyones obsession with Messenger Plus? I bet you use features built into the regular version and maybe a fancy name that look naff anyway to be honest

So my question is, what is the obsession?

I got it a few weeks ago and it took a while to get used to but I like it now, msn plus KINDA works, aka tab conversations + more than 1 msn on at same time

If only I didn't have to login each time I wanted to check my emails. It's annoying!

I liked the other one better since it was auto login.

I dont see that as a crap name tbh, anyhow i prefer the features on Msn Plus thus i'll rather have it.

I use it so my contact list doesn't show loads of codes for people who use coloured named. I used to do it myself like months ago but gave up in the end, just use it for the extra features like the scripts, tabs etc.

Quick Lock of MSN? Why would I need that, My laptop has that already built on, So does most windows systems

Tabbed chats - pointless, can get confusing in my opinion I prefer seperate windows for each person.

I already discussed usernames/commands

In my opinion its just a bloat addon
