Yeah, bolt action ones are like that.

It's just how I've always liked to snipe, I prefer to hit them once and have them killed.

I hate the r700 last few headshots till i got my golden snipe ! but i prefer the m240 or the drag there by far the fastest to use and easiest to no scope just simple

Well in Cod4 i would say the Barret .50 cal, most of the time its a 1 hit kill in normal mode. But only playing hardcore myself you can't go wrong with any sniper if you know how to aim and shoot.
Its a shame they didn't include the L96 in the game though that is a brilliant rifle.

Granted its powerful, but if you miss your chance I just feel the recoil would **** it up for you!

I think the R700 is a hunting rifle in real life ,but used to be used by US military and law enforcement.

Don't mean to sound patronizing but a good sniper only needs to take one shot so the recoil should be last thing on your mind.

Not for me personally because it sounds stupid but at level 55 gold cross i don't need points so i still get enjoyment out of COD4 by spending games taking out one or two people from a concealed position with very well placed shots. The annoying thing about COD4 sniping is that only time effects your shot and the bullet its not effected by wind speed or distance so it makes shooting less fun :(

I like either of the bolt actions. Too many nubs use the semi auto snipers online and basically spray with them.

Edit: By 'too many nubs' I don't mean everyone that uses it is a nub, just a lot of **** snipers do.

I prefer the M40A3, I just like the one hit, one kill, and like a bit of a recoil on the shot, I like always go for headshots so I don't bother using the sniper if i cant get the headshot, and i find the M40A3 easiest to aim and everything.

I always find cod4 funny the fact that you can run about with a sniper but irl, most have to be on some sort of bi-pod :P I know its only a game but :P Anyway, I prefer the first sniper :) The m40a3

At times, depends on the map and how I fancy sniping.

Thats my favourite one. Really don't like some of them at times.

depends how good a sniper you are, eg someone running at a distance u get a much better chance of getting the kill,

also, everyones bound to miss every once in a while anyway its not like u get a guaranteed kill with a sniper with a better recoil

i only personally prefer to use sniper on certain maps with really good spots, but when I do i normally use 50 cal and im not the best of snipers... obviously different on hardcore

I tend to use the M40A3 mostly, I use it from the beginning so by the time I hit 49 for the Barret I already have red tiger on M40A3 so I stick with that.

I actually find with the M40A3 I normally get more kills, although the .50 cla is semi automatic/huge clip lol.

How d'ya do it so well? I tried after seeing your video, its more 50/50.
