Hi, just a quick question, what's the minimum space on the HDD that Windows 7 requires? Just to install it and no other software.

Cheers.

I'll go with 20GB just in case I decide I like it... if I do I'll end up buying it when it's out in shops...

When does it go on sale? Next year I guess or before the end of this year?

Between November 09 and March 2010 I reckon. Microsoft haven't announced a date yet. But there will be 1 Release Candidate after this beta, then it will be in the shops.

Microsoft aren't actually planning on a RC1 or even a BETA 2 according to sources, which is a dangerous move, but rumours are rumours however, the sources claim the date is about 5th June.

Oh right, I'm sure that they said 1 Beta and 1 RC at PDC. I could see them skipping the RC though as the Beta is almost perfectly stable.

From what I've read micrsoft aren't in that much of a hurry to get it out like they were with vista, they say their "aiming" for christmas this year but they won't lose sleep over it if they don't make it, they'd rather get it right than get it out quickly.
