I sure have. I've been away for 2 weeks, so what? You actually took a step back with the childish threads but now you're back again. I guess you'll just end up being one of them Pity fans crying in the corner because your money won't buy you the premiership. You actually need a decent set of achievements and a good team to get players.

BREAKING NEWS: CONTRACT TALKS WITH MAN CITY AND KAKA REPESENTITIVES HAVE COLLAPSED!

Skajo
13-01-2009, 10:18 PM
Why are you saying "so close". The two clubs haven't even negotiated yet and even if that's so I'm 99% sure that Kaka's agent will snub Man City (even though he'll be on like a million million pounds a week) and probably join Chelsea or Real Madrid (at the rate they're spending). Still, I'd like to see him in the Premier League.

Oh so if a world class player is in talks with another club it does not deserve a thread?

I've a serious suggestion. If AC Milan plan on keeping Beckham long term, they will need money to pay him with (unless they have millions and millions already lying about). To fund this they might be tempted to sell Kaka for a large price, if Man City offer it.

lets get things right Milan need to rebuild for the future and they dont have alot of money, most of their players have hit their peak they still have some great players but they are gunna need to bring in some younger talent. I reckon this move is certainly possible, Its also funny reading how bitter everyone bar a few are.

Marketing the player. Football i's publicised so much more than rugby. You could say "sign with us for £50,000 a week and we'll also give you a sponsorship contract worth £60,000 a week." Etcetera.

Unlikely as the player would be contracted under the club for so much money, and contracted under Nike or whatever for another amount of money. If not, they could just give him extra money in bonus or informally.

@ Matt - It's called irony.

Explaining as simply as I possibly can:

"Hey there player, we are interested in, want to sign for us?"
"Well, I'm already earning more than you can offer me, due to the salary cap."
"We will fund Nike to sponsor you, to make up the rest of your salary."
"Wow. Now I can earn as much as I like!"
"You will sign for us then?"
"Of course I will."

And the salary cap is renderred useless.
