I got me new base unit cuz my old ones ****ed. and i had an older screen and its 19in widescreen so i thought id keep it and use it.
When i try and change the resolution settings to 1440 x 900 60hz but it hasnt got that option it has 1400 x 1050 which is closes but it looks **** on my monitor.

How can i get it so its 1440 x 900? i cant find anything not even in advanced settings.

Please help,

Try removing any KVM switches between the graphics card and the monitor.

What graphics card is in your computer?

You pressed the "auto" button on the monitor?

There is also a setting where you can untick "Hide resolutions that my monitor can not display".

As said above, hit the auto button; if your on Vista, go on the Desktop, right click and click Personalization, then click Display Settings, move the scroll thing to where it says 1440x900; I'm on the same thing so it should work. :)

Is your graphics card located on the motherboard or a separate chip?
