Runescape Forum

Over the last few weeks, I for one feel that the Runescape Forum has slowly been getting worse and worse, mainly since the rule of the 'Post Your' threads came into force.
I feel that the same few members (not mentioning any names, but I think it's pretty obvious who) seem to be creating stupid threads, bumping old threads and just generally pointless posting - of course this comes down to the moderators, but to be fair the moderators of the forum are pretty active on the forum.
Now, I may be wrong here but I don't tend to see many of the Runescape Forum moderators, or any of the super moderators regularly post in that section of the forum, so when you get stupid threads such as 'I need a bucket' the moderators won't always know if it's pointless. It's like making a thread in the Habbo section saying you need to change your outfit, it's pointless.
I'm probably ranting on about this now, and I'll probably be only told to use the report button, but what the heck :$

I agree, being a moderator in this forum there is a continuous wave of spam coming from that forum, Im not a Runescape player but I know a bit of the language on it (weapons etc)

I know for one there's a lot of easy rep to be made from being the funny man or the village idiot but that doesn't make it right to give up helping people if you are fully capable of doing so. Prove ur point on what come on all my posts are legit, why do you think i havent been banned because thier all rs related....i dont spam as in posting in the rs section "look what i made in habbo" I spam as in making lots of threads about me and post lots....its two diffrent types of spam. The spam i do is fine just can be annoying to people.

Addint to my point:
If me and the other "spammers" didnt make the threads we make then there would be about 3/4 threads a week. People would have alredy posted in them threads once or twice and thats it. Is it me or does that sound boring... No one would visit or nothing and the rs section would die. Because of us "spammers" theres always new threads and thier not pointess at all. I dont see any of you complaining when you actually post in them threads.

Yes i agree there are 1 or 2 people who take it a little bit to far in spamming the forum but apart from that its all fine.

Like i said we keep it alive...i personally im gona stop my so called spamming and let this dream you all have of the rs section being like it was in 2005 come true.

because it's not the spam section. some new kids still post if they need help, people trying to sell for habbo etc, but i mean it's dead compared to what it used to be liked. it will probably never return to such popularity. i still view it often.

up, and cus many people view alot of the threads on the forum, so titles that people know have nothing to do with rs gets people posting spam in rs section.

I highly doubt BobX would ever be made a moderator again, he constantly spams the RS Forums which isn't what a moderator should do.

If members are supposed to report all the posts, then moderators are pointless.

Firstly, I only came back to HxF a few months ago, long after the spamfest.
Secondly, I rarely spam. And when I do, it's to make a point.
Thirdly, not everyone is going to stick to the rules, get over it.
And I don't care if mods play runescape or play hello kitty island adventure...I don't even care for the forum anymore, I was just offering a suggestion. Seems like a pretty logical solution to the problem at hand.

I agree with you that some threads are stupid, but you also spam in a lot of threads which aren't.

It doesn't mean that they are lazy or that they are trying to be funny, they are asking for help.
Habboxforum is meant to be a community, a community which is there to give people enjoyment and help other members, however when it comes to the Runescape forum that philosphy goes out the window.
Honestly, just please grow up - You wouldn't act immature like this outside, so why do it on the internet?

Rashelly - If you and others didn't go around spamming in the first place, there wouldn't need to be people reporting posts the whole time would there?
You complain saying there should be a moderator who plays Runescape, but why don't you just stop breaking the rules - Rules are there for a reason.

Rashelly is right if mods are a little bit more active on the rs forum then there would be less of a problem.

There are so many threads that are pointless in the first place us spamming them makes no diffrence.

And we always stick on topic so dont say we pointless post. Also stop acting like you havent spammed yourself.
