I know that my ISP (BT) throttles uTorrent for a fact. It starts throttling after 16:00 on weekdays and then lets up some time after 11:00. My question is, do these times change during the weekend? I just thought because obviously peak times of usage change at the weekend. I only ask because with my internet speed it's useless leaving it on when it's throttled so I just do it overnight but if they do change times taking the weekend into account then my efforts will be fruitless over the weekend. That looks like heavy torrent usage to me, not throttling. Coincides with British kids coming home, then Americans coming home.

I suppose but wouldnt they just leave torrents running while they were at school / work?
BT do throttle torrent during peak times. Nothing you can do about it. It's usually about 30KB/s.

Ye that's exactly what I get. Friday night through to Saturdays they don't seem to though, considering that peak times must change on a friday night.
