Buying Internet on the street

My mum came home today saying that she brought internet down this high street for a cheaper price, she said she brought sky broadband for 16pound a month, with all the channels etc..
The people are coming on Wednesday to install it..
But when I looked at the card it wasn't sky it was some cheap wannabe sky people, and had a mobile number and wasn't a proper buisness, he had an Indian name something like rafas mohammad lol!
Is this safe to do? Or has anyone else done this?

Credit Card is safe though, you're fully insured against scams when using a Credit Card which is always good, never know it might turn out to be real, if not a call to the Credit Card company/insurance will be needed ;)

This goes into the real world, have you ever seen the real hustle?
If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
And well, that goes for this.
Get the credit card people onto this because they're more than likely to take out more than £16.

I think it was entirely stupid for your mum to give the credit details of her card to a stranger, but there's no need for racial hatrid against the person who done it, maybe he is legit, maybe you shouldn't be doubting him. Did he have some certification to verify he was a legit Sky engineer?

but, there's a shop down the street from me, and they're a licenced reseller of BSkyB. So it is possible for amateurs etc to do it, but not in all cases.

If i were you, i'd ring them myself.

Also for a note: It' is possible to get Sky and broadband for much less than £16 per month from sky themselves xD

Could I just say, not all asians are like that. My half sister is married to a muslim and has been for 6 years, despite what people say. He does not hit her, nore does he use her passport to bring his family to England. How would you feel if asians said all white people kill our families and make our economy ****. well?

thing is though, the guy could of set everything up with sky so it looks like its legit and all so its took out the 100 and you have sky, but he has your credit card info which gives him longer to do whatever, if he took money out of your cc instantly then he'd not have alot of time, now he has all the time in the world, as you think its real (if he has scammed u and its not legit)
