yr lip? they clamp it, and they draw a dot on yr face and then they put a needle (of whatever size you got yrs pierced at, mine is 1.6 and sam's is 1.2) through it.
whack in the bar/ring, and yr good to go :)

you can't gun stuff like that.

I had the cartlidge on both of my ears done in October, I've also had the bottom of my left ear pierced but you can't really see it on the picture. I've looked for sleepers (ring earrings), but I haven't gotten around to buying some, I'll post another pic if I get them while this thread is still open:

getting yr lip pierced hurts less than a blood test / injection if you get it done properly like i did :)

the only thing that hurts is the initial breaking of the skin :) other than that it's totally painless

it hurts when it swells up, because if you knock yr bar when you eat, holy shiiitt it hurts. but it soon stops hurting, you get stuff thats like puss that comes out of it for a while, but as long as you keep it clean (hot water & salt.), they'll heal steadily :)

Mine have closed a few times torwards the beggining but I just put the earing through again, I guess it stops the healing of the tissue so it doesn't heal back :P I haven't wore it for months before and it didn't close up :O

well the piercers say to "heal" completely, which i'm guessing means you can take it out for like a day or so and it wont have closed up when you put it back in, 12 weeks. but the hurting/cleaning goes after about 4?
just be warned if you do change yr bar/ring and knock the piercing, it will start pussing & stuff again, and youll go back basically to square 1.

a lot of piercers won't pierce anything other than ears till the person is 16, unless they have consent

No i dont think they would have an Issue with breathing, as that's what they have a noise for, as for talking I'm sure they have adapted to talking with it inserted.
