If you want information, on twitter follow @MuscleNerd, it should be announced over his profile.

Chatroom isn't worth it right now, not being administered, an there are idiots.

Its only a teathered break atm. Meaning you have to plug it into a PC every time you turn it on to 're jailbreak' in a sense.. but they are working on a full none teathered 'break atm

Like [Chris] said, you have to inject the redsn0w patch on every reboot of the iPod, for it to boot up.

They're currently reversing code on the bootrom, which they dumped the other day (thanks to the arm7_go exploit in firmware version 2.1.1 :])

There's a problem with devices shipped with 2.2 though, due to the fact that the arm7 exploit is only on 2.1.1 iBSS, and 2.2 shipped devices can't downgrade.

Those 2.2 shipped devices can get the arm7_go exploit by loading a 2.1.1 iBSS and 2.1.1 iBoot, but neither one of those can 'fsboot' or communicate with the NAND chip.

CPICH is currently reversing some code, and running some tests, or has been the past few days to help resolve this issue, not sure the outlook on it though.

They're looking for a lower level exploit for redsn0w to 'piggy back' on, so it is injected on each load, without being tethered to the computer.
