I want to get Guitar hero the full pack Guitar, Drums, Mic.

My cousion rang up telling me not to get it as theres a problem with the drums or something :S

Is it worth spending my money if the drums are horrible or anything? I would like peoples views on the drums guitar etc before i buy it

Thanks,
Danny

I'd reccomend Rock band 2 over guitar hero world tour.

Would the RB drums work on GH?

Would the RB drums work on GH?

Yes perfectly. It compresses the charts down from 5 pads to 4 pads.

But actually thinking about it, it's still the RB1 drumset here in the UK.
I'd reccomend the RB2 drums over the GH WT kit but they're only out in the US atm..

Hard call. The World tour instruments are probably better at the moment but the game isn't. RB2 > GH WT.

That's a tuff one atm, the gh guitar is much better overall.

Guitar Hero World Tour's have had a few sensitivity problems, especially the cymbals but the rock band drums are pretty poorerly built too.

Meh if you're going to get both games then just go for the world tour bundle I suppose.

If you have a sensitivity issue with your drums on Gh. You are entitle to a free sensitivity kit which you can get from redoctane.com

That works? Did any of you have complete fail with the drums when you first got them.

The GH:WT drums are better, but loads of people have had problems with the cymbals.

I did, took me ages to get them working. :P
I prefer the layout of the GH:WT drums.
Occasionally I swear it never actually works but I just assume that I'm crap. :)
Normally when I get into it thought they seem to fine.

I didn't know the kits work on Rock band + GH:WT?

sometimes when i hit the drums it registers it as two drums hit instead of one, which makes you lose your streak and multiplier power. a tad annoying, but it doesnt do it that often

My drums are working fine, there was a problem with them before christmas but i believe all the faulty stock has been taken back.
