Sometimes you have a dream about something, and a few days/weeks later it actually happens. It happens to me all the time and freaks me out bad. It usually involves things at school with me - not things that I have been told already though.

For example, I dreamed of my science teacher writing a title and a few lines on the board and it happened a few days later.

Usually this happens to me and its triggered by a certain phrase that somebody says.

Does this happen to anybody else?

I do, although there's always one thing out of place, like someone else standing in the same spot as someone else in the dream. Very weird.

It isn't uncommon since your dreams are often based on your memories and experiences otherwise there would be nothing for us to imagine, so your brain could create situations which are completely logical and can exist in the real world, and most of the time, probably will.

Some people could call what your experiencing as 'Deja Vu' which it could be if your brain recalls a scenario because its triggered by an external source, but whether or not its similar in any real way is uncertain, but its perfectly possible to dream something which can later happen, I know I have. But don't think that you can see into the future or anything cause some people might think your a bit crazy XD!

somehow doubt it lol you're basically saying out of every random event that could occur somehow the brain will predict it to the exact detail only for it to happen weeks later?

usually whenever i get de ja vu it lasts for like... 3 seconds

apparently de ja vu is where one side of your brain takes in the information, then when the other side of your brain gets the information, you feel like you've already been there - you have, sort of, but only in your mind :P

I dreamt that I lived in a beautiful modern-style house with a glass wall on one side with a balcony. This house was perched upon the top of a cliff overlooking the sea, with Edinburgh visible in the distance. The interior of the house was modern, minimistically styled and design-chic. Outside, blue skies were constant and it was just... amazing :(

Made my morning. :eusa_clap

Yes I do get it from time to time... but the event occurs much later than the dream. It's just so weird and convincing! Usually there is a phrase or something in the right time and location which triggers it for me. Verrrrry weird.

I don't dream unfortunately so not really, I imagine my brain does dream but I don't knowingly do it as I haven't remembered a dream for over a year or ever felt something like this happen. I'd like to think I could relate to situations in real life but the dreams just aren't there, it's quite agonising tbh.

rofl ^^

But yeah, I get it alot.

They think that de je vu (as in something happening and it feels like youve seen it before/ dreamt about it) is caused by your brain sending messages of the feeling of rememberance? rofl that didnt make sense but i tried ^^ noone rrly nos what causes it though. maybe were witches?
