In habbo, what are you supposed to do? I ran across this game by looking at a thread on 4chan and it was on blocking the pool.

Then I started clicking around after the mods banned almost everyone and realized most awards were just there for being on habbo for a certain spread of time.

So, I ask, what is the point?

What's the point in Habbo?
Boy have we had threads on this.
It's whatever you find in it.
And I think this should be in "Bobba"

Habbo is the world’s largest and fastest growing virtual world and social networking service for teenagers. Localized Habbo communities all around the world are visited by millions of teenagers every week.

Habbo is a place to meet new and existing friends, play games and simply have fun. It is a richly colorful, multi-dimensional virtual community and game environment to which users join by creating a fully customized online character called a Habbo. From there, Habbos can explore many public spaces in the virtual environment, play a variety of games, connect with friends, decorate their own rooms and Habbo homepages, and have fun through creativity and self expression. The Habbo experience consists of many parts, which are all inextricably linked.

Quick Habbo facts (January 2009):

33 local communities
Registered users: 121,000,000
Unique visitors: 11,500,000 / month
Page impressions: 990,000,000 / month
Age distribution: 90 % between 13-18 years old
Average visit: 43 minutes / session
Entering the Habbo world is free, but to access premium services users need to buy Habbo Credits, which is the virtual world’s currency. Credits are used to pay, for example, virtual furniture, game tickets and elements for the homepage. Virtual furniture and homepage gadgets in particular are important factors in most Habbos' lives within the community, allowing them to express themselves through the creation of theme-styled rooms and homepages, game rooms and places to chill out.
Habbo - the virtual world

The core of the Habbo experience is the virtual world or virtual “hotel”, Habbo Hotel. Millions of teenagers meet each other every day in Habbo’s cafés, clubs, at the pool area or in the millions of private rooms created by the Habbos themselves. Currently there are over 60 million user-generated rooms in the different Habbo communities.

User-generated content is king in Habbo! It is the Habbo users who make the virtual world what it is – Habbo is filled with different kinds of ongoing events, competitions, quests and other happenings, most of them created by the users themselves. Check into Habbo and explore the different user-generated theme rooms, such as party rooms, maze rooms, barbershops, police stations, hospitals, cruise ships, gang centers, market places, adoption centers and whatever you can imagine – and often what you haven’t even thought of.

Social networking Habbo style!

In addition to the actual virtual world, all community members have their own Habbo home pages where they can present their virtual life in Habbo. The personal pages are naturally highly customizable and can be used for sharing content, forming different kinds of groups etc. Habbo pages are tightly linked to the virtual world: you can, for example, access users’ own rooms with a click of a button as well as include friend lists and game scores from the community. Habbos can also join different kinds of groups and make group pages for themselves and their friends.

Habbo Games

In addition to being a virtual world and social networking environment, Habbo is also a place for multiplayer online games. Users can form groups and compete against each other in the strategy game ‘Battle Ball’ or classic snow ball game ‘SnowStorm’. Habbos can also play different one-on-one games such as the classic pool challenges ‘Wobble Squabble’ and ‘Swim Jump’. Games in Habbo are all about social interaction and having fun – you’ll not find guns or swords in here.

Safety in Habbo

Providing a safe social environment for the users is a top priority in Habbo. In order to keep the community as safe as possible, Habbo uses active moderation, user education and automatic language filtering. Habbo is constantly patrolled by adult moderators who follow the discussions, kick out and ban wrongdoers and help the users with their questions. In Habbo Home users are also provided with an additional reporting tool, which enables them to report inappropriate content to the staff members. Habbos are also constantly educated about different topics, such as safe internet usage. A lot of information is also provided for parents. A part of the safety procedures is Habbo’s cooperation with youth and goodwill organizations. I can guarantee you that at least 40 million of those people are pool /b/lockers with multiple accounts.

And oddly enough ~43 minutes is how long it takes for us /b/lockers to get banned.
