Heya,

I'm looking for a good place to host a Call of Duty 5 server for me, I need a host which is reliable & reasonably priced. My server also needs to have a very good ping, im talking max 50 or 60.

I'm also looking for a teamspeak rental host, so if you can help, all is appreciated.

www.inx-gaming.co.uk (http://www.inx-gaming.co.uk/) seems good, especially as you get a free TeamSpeak server included.

I'm sure if you don't like the service you can get a refund and move to somebody like http://www.gameservers.com/.

Do not use INX... ever. They are a crappy overselling host of whom use relativly low-end servers todo the job. GameServers.com are good, more expensive but alot more reliable. Idealy use someone like http://www.rackage.com/ , yes the site may seem tacky but I know some of the people that run it and they are really solid, knowledgable guys who seem to run a good show.

I strongly disagree with you there.

Im speaking from personal preference, as a competitive CSS player. I have had over the years 4 or 5 servers with INX and have played on at least 20 of their servers for wars/mixing.

You may got a good consistant tickrate, however they leave no lea-way in the CPU to handle the extra packets for advance bullet registration (meaning lets hits occur, more **). Again, its fine for public servers, but if you want something more serious then your best off finding a better company.

I tried gameservers.com once and loads of people complained that it lagged etc. then I moved to INX and it was fine. Plus I used to own an old clan with servers from INX.

I know this is bumping a bit but that rackage site, the copyright at the bottom is 2005 and the forum posts and network status etc is 2007 so the site doesn't seem very active.

Hi,

I'm Olly MD at INX :)

If I'm breaking any rules (I have checked and read through), mods please remove this post and accept my apologies.

I just wanted to reply to Source as his post caused us some concern.

I'm sorry you seem somewhere along the lines to have got a bad impression of us. I can assure you with over 100 Quad Core Dell servers, we aren't using relatively low-end servers to do the job or a crappy overselling host.

http://www.inx-gaming.com/about/network/ provides you full information on our setup :)

We have three full time support staff, and a very organised setup that I'm proud of.

Source, if you've any concerns, please drop an email to sales@inx-gaming FAO Olly and I'll arrange a free trial for you so we can show you why we think you are wrong about us :)

Someone did just click on this thread and came on our livechat facility. However it unfortunately timed out at either end, so I wasn't able to complete answering the questions. Again, if you've any queries, please drop us an email on [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.
