People always complain about effects and dancing causing 'lag'. Why don't they put in a feature that you can ignore a person's effect or their dancing.
Most scripting applications have these sort of features anyway so I don't see why habbo don't introduce it themselves/

People really need to sort out their computers if habbo lags them.

Not really, it cant be helped if I want to run uTorrent, Spotify and habbo at the same time on Vista with Norton 360 running and I find Windows7 too buggy atm so I won't use it. I also have BT internet with 1MB broadband which is having problems atm too. You have to take everything into account, some people don't run habbo and habbo alone...

My computers fine with everything except habbo ;]

Its not usually the dancing or the effects, its when they spam rooms- the current habbo ignore features are good for me.

I do know that dancing and effects lag a lot of people so habbo should perhaps consider this, good idea =]

Agreed... However, it can be the client lags due to too many people doing the same thing (Eg if a whole room is dancing, the Sulake servers may lag)

It's just a lot of information to process if you have 3 people constantly sitting and standing with effects on, another 2 dancing as they run along rollers and countless other people merging into one and other in the space infront of the door. Effects are a blatent cause of lag, as was proven with the hoverboard glitch where you could 'jump' as you walked, causing rooms to crash with lag.

Great idea.

You're right, you have to take into account other things. Like when I'm djing and I try to party in a room with people dancing I get major lagg, but I'm perfectly fine when there's no dancing (or no djing heh) :P

:P Some days are worse than others for me. sometimes the lag d/cs me some times im fine. it often depends on how many people are online as at 4am the lag is non existent. I agree with the OP that being able to "mute" effects would be great. those spaceships are soo anoying!
