Is anyone else who is on BT Broadband, experiencing really slow speed?
Been like it for 3 days. It's usually about 3000-5000Kbps but atm, it's at 400kbps

Its because its through the phone line. Depends how far you live from exchange and how busy the line is. Guess the line is busy.

I know broadband is through the phone line =/!
It's just never been this slow, even at peak times like 6-11pm. Plus, I live 0.7 miles away from the exchange (according to google maps).

It's not his fault. I'm also on BT and it's doing the exact same. I normally get 100+kb/s but at times I'm only getting 9-10kb/s. Seriously considering changing because 1MBs **** anyway and we've had it for a long time.

yeha the 50mbps is only in certain fibreoptic areas such as big cities where they'll get the interest in higher speeds.

they're rolling it out this summer. it'd be worth it for downloading normal movies in under 5 mins...

They wont roll it to every town, maybe main citys, then make outposts with connection to THAT outpost ADSL then hit fibreoptic to the nearest exchange. thats the most cost effective way, we wont hit 50mps.
