I know it's awful. To get mine updated it'll cost me about 100 quid, but I look nothing like what I do in my picture... I have to wait till May 2010 to get it for free, and most likely I'll be refused onto planes later this year.

And no, my passport ran out October 2008. But because I'm an adult, I have to get "First Adult" passport.

My passport started in May 2005, and I look totally different. Its a UK passport so yknow.. Erk it sucks doesn't it, government. ¬_¬

What angers me most, is that people who lose theirs only have to pay £72 as well! I think it should be cheaper for people buying a passport or renewing it, but for those who actually lose theres and need a new one they should pay a higher price of something like £72.

It irritates me, but hey it lasts like 10 years!

lol no they aren't you seen the paperwork they have to fill in to get a visa, and the interview, It used to be a case of if your cheque cleared but we are getting picky who we let in now

It's just the person who wrote everything's bad distinction. They mean you need an interview if you're getting your first passport ever (i.e. never had a child one) as an adult.

You won't get refused, they are not stupid and can tell if it is you or not. Regardless of how different you look.

i had the same with my passport they spelt my second name wrong so i allways got stoped i had a baseball cap on and was looking upwards and they still processed it and made it lol!!!!! but now its run out (thank god)
this time i had to take about 5 photos cuz the woman said my shoulders wasent right how fussy are they theese days .... :/

I think it's for people who had their name held on their parent's passport last time they had one. I've done some looking into it. You're both right really.
