Accusing people of scamming rule

This is mainly for the runescape section but when people make threads asking for Habbo > runescape trades obviously someone could get scammed. So many people post saying "He's safe" to help them get a trade and give the buyer confidence that he is safe. But when people post saying "Not trusted" or "He has scammed in the past" the people that say it get infractions. So if you are allowed to say that they are safe but can't say that they are not safe then whats the point in saying they are safe? I've got 3 infractions for trying to warn people that a certain runescape trader is not safe. I think this rule should be modified to that if you have proof you can post saying they scam.

I guess, if people dont reply then the thread starter could guess that they are unsafe as they have not had any safe vouches which a safe trader would. So I think the rule should still stand. No one has to say they are unsafe.

Becuase there is no way of proving tradeing avents as everything can be faked. And it is also to stop users from accusing people for everything left right and centre for petty reasons if they have disagreements, and no one should have to put up with the abuse.

Don't buy Habbo for Runescape or visa versa

Why do you always have to bring this up on the forum instead of my PM box? :P Jordy did claim the months of VIP that you bought me so I guess that I kind of got 'ripped off' by him (avoids the word scam), but don't worry you'll have them hc's when the fruit machine gives me my moneys. Or if I lose again I'll force my cuz to give me a T to pay my debts.

It would be used on more occasions just for people to accuse another person and start an argument with it, then getting others to side up with them and leaving moderators powerless to controll it they are allowed to accuse other people. With their being no evidence you can use it's not practical.

True but if nobody got round to posting "safe" then wouldn't people just assume that they where unsafe because nobody had posted to say that they are safe?

To be fair though when Jack- (his habbo name) used to use Habbox Forum, he was like super trusted and everyone told me how trusted he was and then he scammed me 3T rofl.

I think if it can be proven by screenshot / video that they're scamming then it should be allowed to accuse somebody.

Unless someone fakes a screenshot or video perfectly chances are someone in the community will catch them.

Tbh you always take a risk , and i've gotten scammed 1m off this forum before.

Don't trade RS for Habbo ;)

We will never legitimize it because the line of "how much proof is enough" is very hazy.

Beyond that, it is VERY easy to fake proof as Jin once proved. And also, sometimes people will see one thing but will not see the accused person giving a legitimate response defending themselves, so that person's reputation will be damaged even though they never scammed.

If its really that big an issue there always is the MSN network to get the word out but its too much of an issue with accusing innocent people on the forum.

Just PM the thread starter that someone that wants to trade with them is unsafe. I used to always do it and you can't get told off for it.
