Recording Games Console Footage

I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but I've kind of got stuck. I'm wanting to record the footage coming from my xbox 360 onto my hard drive of my macbook, however I can't use dazzle etc because I run my 360 through a monitor which means my picture connection is vga. Anyway you know of doing this?

VGA Splitter and then you'd need some sort of capture card which takes VGA as an input.
