Police Car + The car revolution... [IDEAS]

If you haven't read the article on Habbox about the potential upcoming police car Pixel effect, go have a look. I posted this as a comment (well, two comments due to the length of what I wanted to put down) on the article itself, but here's what I think Habbo COULD do in order to implement a car revolution for an exciting 2009:

Why not have cars inside a Hotel? Will you say the same about outdoor sports taken indoors such as football? If we can accept the UFO into the Hotel, then I think we can certainly deal with cars.

Although this idea COULD be taken maybe one step further. Why just stop at police cars in normal Habbo rooms? I think there should be spaces for Habbos to make streets and circuits for Habbos to ride whatever car or vehicle they want around.

Police cars for starters... then, lorries, sports cars (a look like the Ferrari Enzo would be perfect), bikes (both motorcycles and BMX's), and sooner or later, planes. They'd all be miniature to fit the usual one-space Habbo, but it'd be great to go around in a mini-plane! Doesn't everyone dream of that? XD

However, this would work better if there were a seperate section in the catalogue entitled 'Cars', where Habbos could purchase cars as an effect to use all the time. They could hold 3 cars at any one time, then scrap a car when they want to make room to buy a new one. All cars would have quite a high Pixel cost so that only those who save up their Pixels (thus encouraging coming online on Habbo and getting achievements etc.) could get the best cars of the lot.

Just a thought though. Anyone agree?

That's a great idea, I love the idea of the planes but I think it would be really cool to have them higher than the usual UFO/Hoverboards, like as high as the room, higher in Public rooms, it would also be amazing if you could carry passengers with you in the planes. All though would the cars expire? If so, how many pixels would they cost?

Instead of the title 'Cars' If there is Mini-planes it should be called 'Transport', or just add it to the Effects list?

And for roads, you could use the sport track, that looks kinda roady :eusa_clap

What I would do if implementing these ideas would be to have the 'Transport' section (good point Thorn) within the Pixels section of the catalogue, and any transport you purchase would be an exceedingly high Pixel price... a little cheaper for stuff like BMX's or skateboards, but in the thousands for stuff like sports cars and private planes.

They wouldn't expire, but you could only hold 3 pieces of transport at any one time in what could be the 'Garage' part of your Pixel Inventory. When you want to replace one, simply ditch one of your transports and buy a new transport. There would also be colour options for every transport, so that not everybody is riding along in a red Enzo around the hotel. That would get boring, much like the UFO's in normal blue did before the new colour schemes.

The height thing that Blissa mentioned might get a little confusing unless the shadows of your Habbo are made much clearer. Also, to have passengers might be a bit difficult. There'll always be only one Habbo per space, and you can't have whole queues of Habbos in a long plane for the sake of inevitable blocking. Good idea though, maybe a function which would only be allowed in "Airport Rooms" perhaps?

This idea does open up the opportunity for new furni to be introduced, even some older furni revamped and sold. The traffic lights rare would definately be seeked, and new furni such as road signs, vents, and floor furni like "road rugs" and pathways. The sales of telephone box teleports would likely increase, as would the sales of red tiles and star tiles in the case that people want to reform the Walk Of Fame in their rooms.

All these ideas = More credits being bought = More money to the company + Happier Habbos riding vehicles all over the place!

But all in all, these are just ideas. I doubt Habbo will listen to these ideas, but let's see what happens.
