i have this usb hamster http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/usb-hamster-wheel/index.html that runs when you type. Now the problem is that the drivers that comes with the item is only compatible with windows 2000 and windows xp. So could anyone be really helpful and find drivers for Vista?

Thanks

Try having a look at this http://www.apts04.dsl.pipex.com/Progs/Hamster.htm may work.

on topic:
You will not find a driver from the manufacturer as it was not made for the vista OS, your best bet is emailing the manufacturer and see if anyone has released a vista compatible driver.

off topic:
If you have no luck, Id love it if you want to send it on :D

Try manually installing the driver, even if it's for XP. My wireless USB thing is only for XP, yet I managed to manually install the driver and it worked.

Think he means download them off the site, instead of letting operating systems automatically install it.

Yeah, if you have the actual driver file(s) sitting on your desktop then install them manually.

Plug in the hamster.
Click the start orb and go to control panel.
Then click on 'Hardware and Sound'
Scroll down to 'Device manager'. Click it and wait for it to load.
Under 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' there should be an unknown device plugged in (the hamster)
Right click it and select 'Update driver software'.
Choose 'Browse for your driver software on your computer'. Locate the driver (on your desktop or wherever it is).
Go through the process of installing the driver... should be quick.

I can't guarantee that this'll work, but it's worth the try. It made my USB wifi adapter work.
