Passport is about all you'd have if you're 16, you don't get anything more believable until you're 17, which would be a driving license.

Perhaps try to wear more "grown up" clothes. A coat perhaps?
Or maybe get a friends who's fairly tall.

It may be best if you do drag your parents down to buy it :P

Or maybe take a national insurance number and say, if I wasn't 16 I would have this would I?

If you have a school card (like for dinners etc) and it includes your DOB then you can use that.
Works this way for me xD

Get it from HMV then. You normally get fat nolifes in the just-game-stores that think they're better than everyone else. If this is happenin in HMV or zavvi then I don't know.

Only ID you could take is your passport or birth certificate.

my mum wouldnt trust me wiv my passport :(
haha, my mum would question what I'm using it for, and ask for it back as soon as I get home :P

that's long and will cost P+P.
Onlines the best bet, it only takes a couple of days, and most offer free p + p?

If you're going Game they'll accept a passport, a citizens card and a drivers lisence.

That's it, and the staff do care as if they serve you and you're underage and they're caught, they get fined 5k.

I hate when they think your underage when you actually aren't, theres nothing more undermining. You could give them your birth lines, your passport, you could take someone who's clearly 15+ to actually buy the game with you or you can use the cards you usually get from school (young scot cards for us scottish.) :D

No, a birth certificate won't work.
It hasn't got a photo of you on it does it?
You could just have stole it from your dad.

And a photocopy often doesn't work.

shizzle
25-01-2009, 10:13 AM
Oh ok, I'll ask them when I'm there, but I'll bring the original passport and say next time can I bring a photocopy so nothing happens to the real one.

Cwmbran
25-01-2009, 10:17 AM
I can guarantee you can not use a photocopy, even if they have seen your passport already. They deal with thousands of customers a week they will forget your face pretty fast.
Passport is your best option.

I doubt yours broke at 12, most peoples break at 14-18 ;) Youngest person I've heard though is a boy from school, he's black and his voice broke when he was 13, but black people mostly have deep voices so that explains it.

Anyway just bring a passport, it has your picture and age to prove it's not someone else.

A National Insurance card is not proof of ID.

The only option I think you'd have is a passport.

oh ok, don't matter now I got it.

I know you've already got it, but for future purposes you can get a half price Citizens card when filling out a form through GAME. Ask your local store if they've got the form for it as it's only a fiver and that was you won't have to carry your passport about.

I had a brief look online for it through GAME and couldn't find anything. Our leaflets got thrown out/stolen a while ago. You can get the form here (http://www.citizencard.com/apply.php) however, but it'll cost you £12.
