View Full Version : So I kind of like this guy....

,Lexiilu

Okay, well, I like this guy. Like, quite a bit. But the only thing is, everyone seems to think its weird that its over the internet. So what do you guys think: is it weird or is it perfectly fine as long as you know that the person is who they say they are?

PLEASE don't answer being like "OMG YOU'RE SO WEIRD IF YOU E-DATE!"
Nice comments only :)

This is a bit of paradox really, you want nice comments yet you're asking for our opinions on whether it's weird or not?

Anyway if you could both meet-up then it's just like a long-distance relationship but if there's no hope of you ever meeting much, then there's really no point.

Lol, sorry, I just didnt want abusive comments you know? I have a few friends that e-date and I know they might see this and be offended if there's abusive comments. Anyways, e-dating has been like a last resort lately tbh because no guys ever want to date me anyways...So I'm wasting my life being bored all the time with no one to talk to in my down time :( My new hair might help but yeah... :eusa_wall

I don't see how someone who e-dates got the HxHD job over me.
But in all seriousness, stuff like this never works out, and I'm personally thinking its over Habbo etc. so I wouldn't go there if I was you.

If you like him, and trust him then go for it. Its not wierd at all.

Its complicated and difficult at times, but so are all relationships.

People say it won't work. But you'll never know unless you give it a chance. Go with your feelings. If you don't, you might end up regretting it.

I have a feeling I know who this is about..

Anyway,
My own opinion is that it shouldn't happen.
Yes, you can grow to like someone, occasionally alot. But you shouldn't 'e-date'. Things will just get even more complicated. And all the 'living far away' complicates things even more.

I agree with some of the 'pathetic' comments, as like..you can't really love someone online? Unless you plan on meeting them in real and actually meet each other and talk. And then you know what each other looks like and is actually like. Remember, online you can fake yourself.
Online, I am a different person to in real life. Online, I'm alot more 'outspoken' and open with things. Whereas in real life, I'm REALLY shy.
So yeah, you don't know someone properlly, until you meet them.

the question i always ask is would you break it off with him if you found some one else that you liked (and who liked you) in person? if youre committed to the online relationship, then youre going to subconsciously prevent yourself from meeting someone real. you'll give yourself excuses for not pursuing a real relationship, because you have someone online.

a real relationship is nothing like an online relationship. i have a girlfriend that i only see every few weeks (we met and dated in high school for 9 months before i went to college, but now she's still there and im 3 hours away) and i talk to her online and everything but its honestly not the same as being with her.

ive gone years without a girlfriend and had a good time. being single is fun too. you dont NEED a boyfriend. just have fun with friends. im not judging your e-relationship, but you seem to think that its a last resort for something that you dont need anyway.

I'm not dating anyone online, lol, I was just seeing how people react. And besides, as I've said before, I really like the person. So it's not just a last resort or anything. It's true feelings.

Tbh, My views on internet dating is um, Stupid?, How can you have a relationship with somebody that you have no physical bond with other then seeing him say 3Times every 6Months, It wouldn't work, Yeah the relationship would last, But then you got to remember your MILES apart, So anything could be going on behind your back, Personaly i'd say don't do it but it's up to you completly!
