That argument with PIA311 and the controller was so funny.

"Pakistan 311 request 23L for departure"
"Pakistan 311 I'll ask the duty manager but it will probarbly mean a delay to your flight"
"Errr well we need 23L if 23R is wet"
"Both runways are WET WET WET with de-icing fluid"
"Ok"
"Err we will take 23R"
"I'll ask if you can have 23L"
"No we don't want to delay flight"
"I've already asked"
"Ok"
"Ok we need 23L"
"I'm trying"
"Ok we take 23R"
"It's never easy..."
"PIA311 cleared to XXX HON1R departure" ;)

dont call me kid -rep

Why did they want to be so fussy about which runway they wanted? Lol. They didn't complain when they landed on a wet wet wet runway! Bloody PIA again, causing problems. Nice photos :)

Scarborough is the other way ;) and the stops you mention make it the Liverpool lime street express.

Oh and it runs at 7 minutes past the hour from Manchester Piccadilly ;)

PIA for you! - Me and John was a bit confused, both runways are the same length and both where wet.. So what the hell does it matter?

You said TO Scarborough and it doesn't call at those stations from Piccadilly to Scarborough, On the way to Liverpool it calls at Piccadilly at 7 minutes past the hour and at Oxford road at 11 minutes past the hour, there is a local stopper Northern Service to Liverpool Lime Street at 13 Minutes past the hour from Oxford road.

Because Manchester is one of the only airports in the country that don't care if people watch planes.. Unlike, Heathrow for example.

Well i don't know how much knowledge you have of Leeds however, Multiflight gives you a view of the centre of the runway. Not very good.
Behind multiflight hangers you have a partial view of 32 to the middle of the runway and at the cemetry i would say is the best place, being at the 14 threshold and a full view UP the runway.
