Now is the hardest time to get a job, most shops that had xmas temps have let them go/ kept them on. So you may well be screwed for a while. Especially in the economic climate. Just get a job in a fast food restaurant- it is highly likely they will be hiring people.
Beggers can't be choosers.

Considering the economy there is many reasons for you not too be able to get one, I, the same as everyone else would Recommend a fast food resteraunt, other places you can work are places like supermarkets and warehouses.

Hey
If your under 16 jobs can be extremly hard too get dont get me wrong they can still be hard too get when your 16 but its more likely you will get one at this age because its legal you probly know this already and i know i didnt answer your question but best of luck finding a job!

Thanks guys but as a few have said I have standards when it comes to where I work :P
standards? HA!
lol no seriously, just hand in your CV everywhere. Morrisons are planning to hire more people and im guessing primark are too. Just apply everywhere, every supermarket, clothes shop etc

Dont have standards, take what you can get at these times or you wont go anywere.
Go on some shop websites and sign up for there email service and fill out the form, they email when they have job openings in your area or just go to your town centre and hand out your CV all over.

It is quite difficult for young people to get jobs, especially at the moment. I hear a lot of places, like supermarkets, are going to be hiring more staff soon so I'd just keep my eye out for that if I were you, it really depends on the area you live in too.
Also if you're desperate maybe lower your 'standards' just a little ;]

Make sure your CV is lookin top (Y)
drug deal.
or sell habbo thrones.
or anything in between
The easy answer here is the supermarkets.
They are making move profit than ever because the credit crunch is forcing customers to buy their brands of food.
Tescos is making the biggest profits at over one billion, so I'd try there. If you don't get it the first time around, keep trying!

Job center would be a good place to start.
It's not just as simple as walking into the job centre and finding a job - well not here anyway you cant get in unless you have an appointment :(

Doing babysitting or Au Pair job might be good, but being a male I am not sure if you would get hired for such work.
To be honest, it all depends on your age and qualifications.
If your going for a normal job, say working at Pizza Hut or something, to have a easy job they hire at 15 to be a cleaner.
However, if your under 15 its very very hard to get a job due to the insurance etc.
If your over 16 then its quite easy to get a job, even with no qualifications!
Unfortunately in the economic climate it is better that you lower your high standards - if you want a job it might be necessary.
