I want to create a paypal account, and from looking around at posts on here, most of you have one too. Thing is, I'm 15. I have a debit card, but do you put your real name and a fake dob when entering this to create an account on paypal? Because if you did, wouldn't paypal check to see if this is right by checking the dob used on your card?

I know Clowgon helped me on MSN with this, and thank you very much for it, but just a little unclear on this bit :P

if you want you can put your real details but if you income like £200 + You need to comfirme your real details by post, phone call, credit card, bank account etc

But if I put my real dob, they know I'm under 18, so I assume they wouldn't let me register. But if I register with false ones, would they ring to confirm my age?

They dont ring, im under age and have a debit card as well, i'm fully verified paypal user. All i did was add my bank acc and then wait for them to add a small donation.

I'm pretty sure Paypal never asked me for my DoB, it was only eBay that made me agree to be over 18. Even if PP did ask for my DoB it doesn't matter with them whether you're 18 or not (as far as i know). Just eBay.

Yes its just ebay who ask you to be 18. You can use paypal at any age, i am been fully verified since i was 12. (16 now)

They didnt used to but tightned up secruity now and check your DOB :(

Yes they ask for a credit/debit card and check the details with the issuer

they dont give small donations that take 2 small amounts from your card.

It's quite simple. At first when i created a PayPal account i was a bit unsure as i thought Paypal was quite a difficult system to use but you just wouldn't believe how easy Paypal is to use.

I would recommend you to use your real address/telephone number as if you have any problems with your account for example you got scammed or you never received your item they may want to contact you.

I just put in 1989 as my DOB i think.

I am a full verified Paypal user, at 15. I have two confirmed cards on the account plus a confirmed bank account, plus confirmed address - 100% verified and they have never questioned me.
