I usually delete the forum software on my server, Then edit the config file to your needs obviously (in the newly downloaded software), reupload, + any images you had... DUnno whether theres simply ways to do it. probably

Upload all files out of Upload folder overwrite old ones, change config.php.new to config.php and edit database details same as config.php now then go to http://www.YourName.com/forum/install/upgrade.php or whatever link is and there you go :)

Just upload the files over the top except the image folders as it never changes and you'll more than likely delete stuff you didn't want to and don't edit the config again, leave the old one as that never changes neither and then run the installer.

it might be a good idea to read the vbulletin manual (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html)

I download the new vb files without the images

then open up the zip, an send over all the new vb files, set to overwrite on the ftp. Leave it all, then run upgrade ;)

There is no need to change config.php.new, it's simply renamed so that if people do it like me it doesnt overwrite your config.php

Thats the same way we do our upgrading except we delete install.php and config.php.new while it is still on our local machines before uploading.

Basically you go to http://www.invisionpower.com and buy Invision Power Board.
