Hey,

I was wondering if there was any .bat files that will search through the whole computer for something you define. It's for school, because the search feature is blocked :(

make a notepad doc, put "cmd" in it, save as "test.bat" and open it, then u got cmd, and if u use dir etc u can open programs that arent on start etc, dno how precisely but works at my college

Thx for trying, but i mean so that I can find where work and stuff is located :P

Can't bloody find it.

ah right. use that to open command prompt, then type in "dir /s filename.doc" or .whatever xD

it will tell u where the file is, but u needa know the filename rly
