View Full Version : Donator Colours
If there was a wider choice of colours I'd happily donate, I don't like the regular boring colours we're used to seeing! :P

Suggestions? :P You have to realize that setting up one color involves lots of backend work due to the double complications of having to make Donators work with Habbox VIP and the promotion system.

I appreciate what nvr said but I agree with GRlME, maybe one or two different colours than usual which we can have a poll to choose on.

You're actually giving money because you get a colour? Seems a little odd to me, this may as well be re-branded VIP if people are still donating only to get things in return.

I'm just saying that I think it'd ridiculous that they're refusing to buy it till they get better colours? The idea is to support Habbox not to get a coloured username, it doens't even stand for anything, it just shows you've donated and nothing else, I can't understand why anyone would want to pay £1.50 for it.
If/When I donate to Habbox it's cause I want to support them and not for the colour, it might sway me a little bit but hardly the core of my donation.

Ah okay i get what your saying :P I thought from your post, that you was one of the anti supporters who was saying its not worth buying for just a name colour.
I think people are used to the old VIP system and kind of stuck in their ways, so they automatically compare Donating to the VIP status. Yes technically it is the same thing (with less extras of course) but i guess this time round, we will truely see who wishes to support Habbox and its sister sites or appose it because they aren't getting usual VIP features.
But hopefully people will realise this isn't Habbox's fault it is Habbo/Sulakes contribution to the fansite communities :)

Im sure that in the announcement it says that an extra will be added each month for a month at a time to buy as apposed to the standard colours.
can we change the standard non vip or donators to bold! prefer a bold name and it doesnt take much :)
and yes, a couple of colours may be nice and also choosing the donation amount possibly. or adding more amounts

What actually are the colours? i anit seen them yet.
Well at the end of the day, it's helping Habbox out and I also get a bold coloured name so I can't argue :P And hmm, perhaps keep these colours then you can be a Donator + for donating an extra 50p or so then you can get the VIP+ colours? I dunno :P
@ Scott, it's just the same colours as the old VIP colours: Magenta, Green, Blue, Black & Purple I think.

So its basically VIP less the features, same cost.
as soon as I get my PayPal account sorted, I'll be donating - Regardless of the colour. :)

I think a unique colour different from VIP would encourage more donators not a bad idea.
Maybe use the old VIP+ colours
I really like Dodger Blue though :)

The current colours are the same original six from VIP days.

we might give donators the VIP+ colors as well. Once we don't have many +s of course.

Good idea but I think £5/$5 + shall get you VIP+ and £5/$5 - Normal VIP

I dont see why VIP+ colours should be used for the normal £1.50 when some people paid for VIP+ just for the colours.. not very fair imo.

Agreed I think there should be better colours like
Toxic green
blood red
Gold
Lime green
Light pink
Stuff like htat
lime/toxic wont be used, blood red wont either/ light pink is like the VIP+ colour surely? and gold = yellow? :P
Maybe use the old VIP+ colours
Don't even suggest that, I paid loads to have VIP+ colours!!!! :P

No-one would donate if they didn't get something in return. Just how it works with most people. With the colors i think they're fine because VIP is still around you just can't sell it :D

Yeah, but you weren't paying for the colours, you got extra features with VIP+ than with VIP which was probably the extra cost.
If this donator thing is just for colours than no colour should be worth more than another :)

Some people do things for nothing, it's rare, but some do. :)
I enjoy the VIP+ pink colour, that's about it :( You lot should just release the holiday donator colours, such as anniversary, Christmas etc, there's no point releasing them on the holidays as it's just a colour ~ should do it all now ;)

Yeah, I love the christmas VIP colour :)

But the colours are the only thing that visually seperate VIP+ from VIP apart from the customizable profile but nobody looks at mine anyway lol. :P
Perhaps Habbox should make a couple of new colours and let us vote in a poll for which colour options we want. :)

However, as VIP+ and VIP are no longer on sale then the colours should be avaliable for donators in my opinion.
I agree with your second paragraph though :)

The VIP+ colours should only be avaliable when the last VIP+ subscription has expired.
Why? As if they bought it just for a little colour, they can also shift colours & customize their page so I don't see why we can't get a colour on a forum. So after 10 years we'll be able to get them colours, because I'm sure that's how many Mint bought :P Great idea.

5 years* and the majority of VIP+ people im pretty sure not all them bough 5 years.
There has been a thread about it before, look at most the VIP+ all they really use is the new colours i've hardly seen any customized pages.

They donate and as recognition of their donation, they get a donater usertitle and a coloured username - nothing else.
So its basically VIP less the features, same cost.
It costs £1.00 now, instead of the old £1.50.

Exactly my point :)
