Whenever I try and run Garry's Mod it just always stops responding, I'm on a gaming PC so I don't know what the problem is, it isn't blocked on my firewall or anything, I haven't tried launching any other games so I don't know if any game responds at all. Thanks +rep to any help. :)

Have you got any antivirus or anything that could block it?

A PC specifically built for gaming..

I've got AVG but I doubt it's blocking them, usually Windows Firewall does that. :P

CSS works but Garry's Mod keeps not responding :@

thing called specifications ;)

try getting other games off steam (trials etc) and see if they work, if not try asking on steam forums as it could be a common problem.

I've tried CSS and it works so it's not like every game isn't responding, and if I keep trying different games it's not exactly going to get Garry's Mod to respond :P I'll give it an hour then post on the forums, hopefully someone here can help.

Have you tried de fragmenting the files and verifying the local content? if all else fails delete local content and download again.

I just deleted local content and I'm gonna redownload it see if that helps, I think it went corrupt because it didn't have a metascore but most games do, might be why it's all screwed.
