Due for release today at 5pm. I just wish my internet speeds wernt so crap :/. Rumoured to be roughly 1GB in size, its meant to contain part of level 1 and also a tutorial system. Not sure if it has online play ? I will be downloading but it may take about 7 hours :P anyone else d/l? And it better not be the beta testers only? Like im not sure if it is or not :S

I'm getting the minute it turns 5PM. 7 hours!? 1 gig is like 20-30 mins for me.

i was watching a review type thing and it said when your using the sniper, it relies on you being steady and as the controller rumbles when a grenade goes of near you or a tank goes by it obviously changes the way the sniper reacts.
best be a good game lol
Actually sounds like a multiplayer game relying on skill and not luck (looks at COD).
I'll post my review impressions on Monday... also a proptip to other downloaderz, put your status as 'not available', speeds up the download... just don't go online on any games.

Just finished the demo, absolutely amazing. The first half was nothing special but the end inside the building was brilliant. Best AI i've ever seen.

Downloaded it earlier, and damn the graphics are amazing. The demo was a little on the short side, but I'm still impressed with everything :) On my second playthrough, everything the enemies did was different, which was a refreshing change.. they tried out new techniques each time, eg. different routes to try and flank you and your squad.

Same here, for some reason I think everyones going to be wrong and it is just a buggy and clunky action shooter with overblown graphics.
Anyway, protip Neil -put yer status to Not Avalible to speed the download up.

I changed to be a little "CoD" like but you just seem to turn too slow, having the sensitivity too high seems to make turning a little jittery while having it too low is just plain annoying, hopefully it'll be fixed, it is quite enjoyable but it doesn't match CoD4 in my opinion.

I would download it but I wanted to download the Thin Lizzy pack on Rock Band and play it so i didn't get round to it :P

They need to re-think a few things then.
There is a huge difference between realism and just plain annoying, you're all still downloading? :S Mine only took like 30 mins or so.

I hate to cause arguments but Far Cry 2 did that, it was a fantastically realistic game but SO annoying.

Personally I would be alot happier with stable controls than realism, realism ruined GTA4 for me, realism doesn't belong in games sometimes, if it works then fine but in this case it just doesn't.

Doesn't have to be instant, the speed you turn on KZ2 is ridiculous, it's so slow it isn't realistic, I am certain anyone can turn faster than you can on that, carrying items also can't be used because if you have things on your back and things in your chest or hands then you'd actually turn faster because of the items swinging with you.

He's probably enjoying the graphics, they're pretty sweet. xD
I hated the controls the first few time i played the demo. I just turn my sensitivity up abit and change control layout to Alt 2 and its seems to be fine now.
Of course its going to seem slow if all you have been playing is COD but atleast give it a few play throughs before saying its completely crap.
Anyway i agree controls need to be worked on (can be patched if not in the retail version) but you will get used to them over time.
Other than the controls the game is great xD

but i guess thats what you get lol. Would of been good if there was mp so we can try that out too. controls were fine and i get what you were saying about the turning but its not that much of a problem. Graphics are immense tho

I'm fine with the controls tbh and ye the demo is very short but i guess thats cus of how detailed it is
Well, I didn't like it too much - but I only got to play 5 minutes... maybe it takes a while to get used it... gonna finish the GTA IV article up and then get on da case.

I didn't like it.
I cant stand it, The graphics are nice but the controls and how you move are just hideous. It kind of reminds me of a new call of duty, So they should change the way you move more efficient and it will be a hit. Until then, this game in my opinion is about a 4/10
have u tried changing the controls.. such as, the x-axis movement and changing the controls to pretty much COD4? its like ___ 2.. not sure what. COD4 you move way to fast, it looks ridiculous online
Yeah I've put the sensitivity to full on both axis and its still slow and unresponsive.
wth, then u must have a dodgy demo thing then lol. i only had it 3/4 way up and it was fine? if i went further it would be too fast lol
I dont know weather its supposed to be 'realistic' But it seems like when i turn left, It takes about a second and it kinda swings around and it just seems horrible!
I was really looking forward to this game though. I hope they improve it!

yeh I use alternative 2 controls too. They're still not perfect, having to hold L2 to stay in cover is annoying. Why couldn't they have it as tap to go in, tap to come off cover.
yeh i know that was one downside because to shoot while crouched you needed to hold about 4 buttons when covering.
maybe they will add an option like when you aimed. so you could uncheck so that you had to hold down to aim rather than tap
Yea the cover system is pretty lame, no blind fire and you seem to stand way to high anyway.

Correct me if wrong, but I think there is a way to blind fire :P I remember reading somewhere that you can, I think you gotta be using the default controls though. Apparently, the cover system works really well with the default controls but I prefer alt 2, lol

Killzone 2 Is the only reason I would get a PS3.
