Pentium D CPU 2.80Ghz
I have that processor, does anyone know what max overclock is for it.
I need to sort out my fan first cause it's making a loud noise so Im going to replace it within the next few days and then possibly overclock this processor. Hopefully it wont die on me.
How would I go bout doing it also and would you recommend overclocking.

Is it a custom build computer/one bought from a small computer shop or is it a mainstream branded computer like HP, Packard Bell, Dell etc?

Pentium D's run very hot. Your going to need a heck of a cooler to get a moderate overclock.

Can someone recommend me a cheap and decent processor then. Im looking for something around £150 and has good value. How do I find out what my motherboard is to see if it is compatibile or not.

If you're looking for a processor to specifically overclock, then I would look into the 45nm intel Core 2 Duo's.
