David Kennedy of Angels and Airwaves appeared to confirm on the band's Modlife (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modlife) that Blink-182 would be recording an album in 2009.

David Kennedy, guitarist for Blink member Tom DeLonge's side project, Angels & Airwaves, confirmed (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1604465/20090206/blink_182.jhtml) the band's future plans on an A&A's message board Thursday night.
Kennedy let fans know "Blink is coming back… [they're] putting out a record."

Idk how long, but i've know they'd been planning since September..

Hm, I wonder if they'll continue with the experimental style from the self-titled album or go back to the roots of punk rock with some of their earlier stuff on Cheshire Cat/Enema of the State. I'd like to see a mix between Take your pants off and the self-titled maybe some old stuff thrown in there.
Dont shout at me if they've annouced what style they are using cause I didnt watch the grammies :'(

I'd rather they do it to a few songs than mess it up. Im not doubting them but with some of the bands I like "maturing" as they say, they've completly lost their style.
I'd like to see all of it thrown together to be honest, not all the songs the same but each to a different style.

1-2 sounding like their earlier stuff.
1-2 sounding like take your pants off.
1-2 sounding like the self titled album.
4-5 soundlng like their new stuff.

This will be pretty sweet. In my opinion both +44 and Angels and Airwaves weren't that big, especially +44. They are better in Blink-182 then they are in separate bands.

Glad they are bad, +44 never caught me, I tried to listen to them but it didn't work. AVA never got my attention. So hopefully they will get a good old album out!
